New Online Tax Exemption Process

With the help of a new software, Beaver Industrial Supply now offers an easy and automated tax exemption process, all through your online account. We need to ensure compliance for appropriate states, and this makes it easier to collect all necessary information to corresponding states.

All new and returning customers must create an online account and upload the tax documents as described in detail below.

Already have a customer profile online?

Simply log into “My Account” then go to tax certificates> add exemption> select tax exemption state> select tax exemption reason> add all necessary documentation & information

New to shopping with us online?

Create an account. Log into “My Account” then go to tax certificates> add exemption> select tax exemption state> select tax exemption reason> add all necessary documentation & information.

Process

1. Once logged into your account: go to "Tax Certificates", then press the "Add Exemption" button next to the header.

2. Select tax exemption state, as noted on the tax exemption certificate.

3. Fill out name, phone and address (required).

4. Select appropriate tax exemption reason.

5. Fill out the approproate information based on your state and your reason for exemption.

Troubleshooting
If your request populates “no” under the account, then it was not approved. Please try these tips to troubleshoot and to help get your tax exemption request approved.

  • Fill out ALL of the fields throughout the online process, and that the tax exemption paperwork is filled out with the appropriate information.
  • Ensure that the billing/ shipping address matches the state in which you are requesting tax exemption
  • Make sure that your tax exemption document matches the example provided for the category selected. If it doesn’t match then try a different tax exemption reason until the forms match.
